Mark delivered my Oceanis 411 from Monterey California via Hawaii and Fiji to Fremantle it looked as good when it arrived as when it left California after three months at sea. Mark looked after the pre delivery maintenance, provisioning all other aspects of the delivery. I wouldn't hesitate to use Mark again for safe well managed delivery of my next yacht.

Marty Westvelt - Callisto 2005/6

In 2007 Mark and crew prepared and delivered my Oceanis 473 from Turkey to Fremantle via Suez, Aden, Maldives and Cocos Islands, three an a half months at sea and my boat delivered intact and ready to go sailing again the day it arrived. Mark has since delivered my yacht to Darwin through the Kimberley and in 2011 took her to Queensland for me.

Leo Killigrew - Affinity 473 2011

In 2009 Mark acted as sailing instructor on the delivery of my 51 foot catamaran from Cairns to Fremantle. We arrived in Fremantle on schedule and undamaged and now able to sail her and ready to refit her for commercial work in Coral Bay where she now lives.

John Bailye - Shore Thing 2009

Mark has delivered three yachts from Langkawi to Fremantle via Singapore and Bali for me, the yachts have all arrived in perfect condition I would recommend Mark's services to anyone considering having a yacht delivered anywhere in the world.

Errol Robbins, Intermezzo, Even Star and Semi Circle 2006

I have employed Mark on three occasions to fill in as Skipper on one of my commercial vessels in Coral Bay as well as to be in charge of the recent refit of two vessels. Mark looked after the vessels, crew and passengers professionally, I will be using Mark again to fill in for me when he is available.

Roger Bailye - Coral Bay Ecotours  2011

Mark delivered our Jarrett 50 (a custom designed steel ketch) from Perth to Sydney in August 2015. Even before we’d formally agreed the details, he impressed us with his thoroughness and willingness to spend significant amounts of time getting to know the vessel and helping to prepare it for delivery. We're based in Sydney and were having work done on the vessel in Perth prior to the delivery trip commencing, and Mark went above and beyond helping to organise the boatyard and various contractors and providing us with daily updates.

Once the delivery commenced, Mark impressed us with his flexibility, professionalism and calmness in the face of occasional adversity. Although the conditions were mostly benign, the vessel experienced a couple of difficulties including an unidentified steering problem (necessitating an unscheduled stop to try and trace the issue), and engine problems halfway across the Great Australian Bight.

I joined Mark and his first mate (Tim) in Adelaide for the second half of the delivery trip, and can honestly say that I learned more about marine engines and electronics in those two weeks than I had done previously in 30 years of sailing. Our new boat is a big complex beast, and at 20 years old, has its fair share of wear and tear. Mark demonstrated and incredible knowledge and skill when it came to diagnosing and fixing a myriad of minor issues. More than that, he obviously cared about the boat, and I couldn’t have asked for, or expected, more when it came to delivering the boat in better shape than he found.

Although the winds and weather we’re kind to us, Mark was obviously well prepared for anything that might come our way, and in the one or two days of big winds and seas that we did experience, he was completely relaxed and in control. He exudes obvious competence and authority and I would gladly recommend his services to anyone looking for an excellent delivery skipper.

One word of warning – if you are planning to join Mark for your delivery trip, bring a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, or a willingness to listen to absolutely terrible “dad-jokes” for thousands of miles.
